Pontotoc County Released Inmates is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the government office responsible for the record or custody system.
Choose the Responsible Office
A release question should go first to the agency that last held the person. County-jail departure records belong with the sheriff. Court orders belong with the clerk for the court that handled the case. State-prison time and discharge belong with MDOC, while supervision questions may belong with the local probation and parole office or the State Parole Board. Federal, immigration, and notification systems have separate channels.

Leo Mask is the current sheriff identified in the state county directory. Ask the main line for the jail or records custodian when seeking a booking record, discharge date and time, release type, transfer destination, booking photograph, or property record. No verified public records email, jail records hours, release-processing hours, property hours, local fee schedule, photo fee, or fixed records fee was located. Call to confirm the current submission method and request a cost estimate rather than guessing.

The Circuit Clerk is the route for Circuit or County Court dockets, final judgments, sentences, dismissal orders, bond or release orders, and revocation records. A court order can explain the legal basis for release, but the sheriff's transaction is stronger for the actual time a person left the jail. The public chancery portal is a land-record index, not the criminal docket.
MDOC Records Department
Mississippi Department of Corrections Records DepartmentP.O. Box 24388
Jackson, MS 39225
Phone: 601-933-2889
Email: MDOCRecordsDepartment@mdoc.state.ms.us
Use MDOC Records for a state offender's time, jail credit, eligibility dates, actual status, and discharge. The former official inmate-search address redirected to MDOC's home page during research, so it is not a dependable live person-name locator without a fresh check. A person who only left the Pontotoc County jail and never entered state custody should be researched through the sheriff and court instead.
Local Supervision and Parole
Pontotoc Probation & Parole Office340 Legion Lane
Pontotoc, MS 38863
Phone: 662-489-7628
The Pontotoc supervision office is a community office, not a jail. It can route questions when an official record shows probation, parole, or Earned Release Supervision in the Pontotoc area. No verified local public office hours were supplied in the research, and a Pontotoc conviction does not by itself prove that this office supervises the person.
Mississippi State Parole Board239 N Lamar St, Suite 501
Jackson, MS 39202
Phone: 601-576-3520
Email: MSStateParoleBoard@mdoc.state.ms.us
The Board contact is appropriate for an individual's parole status. Research did not locate a verified public parole-decisions database or complete public hearing calendar. Eligibility is not the same as a grant of parole, and a parole decision is not a substitute for the dated custody-release record.
Mississippi SAVIN and VINE
Office of Mississippi SAVINBusiness-hours line: 601-359-5759
Around-the-clock English and Spanish help: 1-888-967-7284
TTY: 866-847-1298
VINELink provides online access to Mississippi SAVIN. The service can report release, transfer, escape or abscond, and return-to-custody events from MDOC and participating county jails. Pontotoc County participation could not be confirmed from a county source, so search the live service and verify any alert with the jail or MDOC. A transfer alert is not community release.
MDOC Division of Victim ServicesBusiness-hours line: 601-359-5628
Around-the-clock line: 1-866-522-4087
The Division offers a separate registration and statutory notification path for eligible direct victims of MDOC offenders. That registration is distinct from anonymous general VINE registration.
Federal and Immigration Routing
Use the Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator for a sentenced federal prisoner in BOP custody. “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody” confirms only exit from BOP and may still involve another custodian or supervised release. A Pontotoc jail entry naming USMS or a federal hold should be matched to the federal case because the U.S. Marshals Service has no comparable public historical release locator.
The ICE Online Detainee Locator is the first route for current immigration detention. A no-result can have several causes and is not a historical release finding. The Pontotoc County jail was not verified as an ICE detention facility, BOP institution, or facility with a published current USMS or ICE detention contract. Begin with the county discharge destination, then use the named receiving agency.
The shortest route depends on the record needed:
- For a released Pontotoc County detainee, use the home search and release-record path, then contact the sheriff for the actual discharge transaction and the Circuit Clerk for the related order.
- For post-release supervision, use Parole & Probation, the Pontotoc supervision office, MDOC Records, or the State Parole Board according to the recorded status.
- For recent departures, contact the jail because no official Pontotoc 24-hour, 72-hour, or former-inmate feed was located.
- For a tentative date or custody alert, use MDOC Records for state calculations and Mississippi SAVIN/VINE for participating-agency notifications.
- For the local detention facility, use the sheriff contact above and identify the booking, release date range, and record sought.
- For a sentenced Mississippi state prisoner, use MDOC Records rather than treating a county-jail discharge as state release.
- For a federal or immigration matter, follow the county destination into BOP, the federal docket or USMS, or ICE as the record requires.
