Pontotoc Jail Release Destinations
The Pontotoc County Adult Detention Center is the county's one verified long-term detention facility. It is operated by the Pontotoc County Sheriff's Department. Community departure may follow accepted bond, dismissal, acquittal, a court release order, time served, or completion of a local sentence. Each reason should be read from the record rather than guessed from an absent name.
A county-jail departure can also be a handoff. The receiving destination may be MDOC after a state sentence, another county on a warrant, U.S. Marshals custody, BOP after federal designation, or ICE when immigration custody applies. Confirm Pontotoc Jail Releases

A written request should name an existing record. Ask for the booking sheet, jail-docket entry, release or discharge transaction, and associated booking image. Add a request for the actual discharge date and time, release authority, disposition, and receiving destination if maintained. Electronic delivery can reduce duplication and mailing work.

These are statewide minimum schedules, not a public Pontotoc software specification. Ask the custodian which existing record carries the local field. A court order explains the legal authority, but it may precede jail processing. Pair the order with the operational discharge time when timing matters.
Pontotoc Jail Release Logistics

Property is a separate record issue. The statewide schedule retains the inmate property receipt or return record for ten years after release. It can show whether nonconfiscated property was returned, but it does not establish the legal reason for release. Direct a factual error in the jail transaction to sheriff records. Direct an error in a court order or sentence to the issuing clerk or court.
Pontotoc Release Court Records
The Pontotoc County Circuit Clerk keeps the Circuit and County Court docket, pleas, indictments, court orders, minutes, and complete proceedings. A signed dismissal, bond order, judgment, sentencing order, or release order explains why the court changed custody. It may not show the hour jail staff finished processing or reveal an unrelated hold.

The county's visible online portal is a chancery land-record index, not a criminal docket. A blank land search has no bearing on jail release. Request the final criminal disposition from the right clerk and compare it with the Pontotoc jail's permanent discharge entry.
Pontotoc Jail ICE Transfers
No official evidence identifies the Pontotoc County Adult Detention Center as an ICE detention site, a BOP institution, a state prison, or a jail operating under a published ICE or USMS detention contract. This negative finding does not rule out an individual detainer, federal warrant, or agency pickup. Read the destination on the named person's discharge record.

Pontotoc Jail Data Limits
